Meet Buck
Turning Dreams into Reality for over 25 years.
With having my background as a realtor, I enjoy working with people and guiding them through every phase of the building process. So, when I began my career as a builder in 1998 it came with the belief that building the relationship with the client coupled with pride in quality craftsmanship I realized I could carve out my own niche.
I named my company Buck Horn Construction because I wanted clients to know that I’m so confident and stand behind our quality that I would put my own name on it. I have a dedicated team of suppliers and subcontractors in which I maintain the same good working relationships with all involved in a project.
I have always been in business for myself from mowing yards as a kid to owning a biscuit shop in Boone, North Carolina. I have been a member of the Winston-Salem Home Builders Association (WSHBA) since 2001, and have participated in many Parade of Homes; taking several gold and silver awards. I was chosen to represent my home in the Milburn development in the 2010 Spring Festival for the WSHBA house, and also in 2011 for the WSHBA Fall Association home in Brookberry Farm development.
I grew up in Winston and graduated from North Forsyth High School in 1975, then attended Appalachian State University (ASU) for two years then transferred to N.C. State University (NCSU) to obtain a degree in Natural Resource Management.
Becoming a builder was a natural fit for me, because it is an outdoors profession which is where most of my interests lie. I love to hunt, hike, ride atvs, bikes, fish, shoot, and ride horses. All, of course, with my family.
I bring this same passion to working with clients. I love being a part of largest project that most ever undertake and have made many close friends through sub-contractors and clients alike.
